I’m building a workflow that lets customers chat with us on WhatsApp, place an order in the same thread, follow its progress in real time, and complete payment without ever leaving the app. The goal is to remove friction from customer support, so every question— from “Do you have this in stock?” to “Has my shipment left yet?”— is answered automatically or routed to an agent only when necessary. Core flow • Order placement: the bot should capture product, quantity, shipping details, and confirm the cart. • Order status updates: once the order is in our system, proactive messages must keep the buyer informed at each stage. • Payment processing: integrate with a payment gateway that works inside or immediately adjacent to WhatsApp (link-based checkout is fine as long as it returns a confirmation to the chat). • Customer queries: basic FAQ and escalation path to a live agent. Tech is flexible—Twilio, Meta’s Cloud API, Dialogflow, Python, Node.js, or another dependable stack is acceptable—so long as it complies with WhatsApp Business policies and can be hosted on our cloud account. Deliverables 1. Working WhatsApp automation connected to our test number. 2. Source code and clear setup instructions. 3. Brief hand-off call or video walkthrough. Acceptance will be based on placing a test order end-to-end, receiving each status update, and successfully processing a payment inside the conversation.
