I manage a transport-worker shuttling operation in Chennai and every supervisor already posts their daily task updates and any incident reports in a dedicated WhatsApp group. Manually scrolling through that chat is costing us too much time, so I need an automated way to collect the information, analyse it, and push out clear Excel sheets each day. Scope of work • Pull only the messages that match two categories: daily task updates and incident reports. • Parse those messages so each data point—date, supervisor name, route or truck ID, task status, incident note, etc.—lands in a structured table. • Store the raw data locally (CSV or database; open to suggestions) and refresh it on a set schedule. • Produce three styles of analysis: – a same-day summary of tasks completed, – trend lines over time (daily, weekly, monthly), – side-by-side performance comparisons between supervisors. • Output each analysis as a separate sheet inside one Excel workbook that lands in a shared folder or arrives by email at the end of the shift. Technical notes Python, Node, or any stack that can talk to the WhatsApp Business API (or an equivalent bridge such as yowsup / selenium if you have a reliable workaround) is fine with me; pandas and openpyxl are handy for the Excel layer, but use what you know best as long as the final file is .xlsx and opens cleanly in Office 365. Acceptance criteria 1. One-click or scheduled run with no manual copy-paste from WhatsApp. 2. Zero loss of relevant messages; noise filtered out. 3. Excel file contains the three analyses in clearly labeled sheets and matches at least one week of historical chat for validation. 4. Script and documentation handed over so my in-house team can rerun or tweak without outside help. If you have previous examples of WhatsApp or chat-data automations, that will make evaluation faster.
