I am building a single-player, turn-based geopolitical text strategy game in Unity and need a solid, extensible prototype that already feels fun to play. The core loop is simple: a player picks any country, hits “Next Turn” to advance one in-game year, and then studies a generated report that covers international events, diplomacy shifts, domestic affairs, military status, economy figures and a concise summary table. Scope of the first milestone • Core game systems: economy, diplomacy, warfare (with detailed manpower and equipment losses), technology research and random world events all interacting logically. • Territory logic: capturing provinces must instantly boost national income without extra clicks. • Minimalistic presentation: flat colours, simple icons or text are fine—as long as information is clear. • UI elements: country-selection screen, “Next Turn” button, expandable diplomacy, economy and army panels, plus a scrollable report window. • Cross-build: the project should run smoothly on both PC and Mobile builds from the same codebase. • Code quality: modular architecture, clean namespaces, commented methods and scriptable objects where appropriate so I can plug in new content later with minimal refactoring. Acceptance checklist for delivery 1. A Unity project that opens without errors in the latest LTS version. 2. One playable scene demonstrating a full yearly turn cycle with all five systems producing data that feeds into the end-of-year report. 3. Province conquest reflecting immediately in the next turn’s income line. 4. Battle resolution screen showing losses by manpower and equipment before returning to the main view. 5. Builds exported for Windows and Android proving platform compatibility. 6. Brief technical document outlining system architecture and extension points. There’s no fixed deadline, so take the time you need to craft something robust rather than rushed. Let’s discuss your architectural approach and any questions you have before we begin so the foundation is rock solid.
