I’m preparing to launch a new Shopify store and want to start on the right foot with a theme that not only looks on-brand but also functions flawlessly. I don’t yet have a theme in mind, so the first step is your expert recommendation: whether that comes from the official Shopify Theme Store or a trusted third-party source, I’m open as long as it can be customised cleanly and kept update-friendly. Once we agree on the best base theme, I’ll need you to: • Tailor the design – colours, typography, spacing and layout tweaks – so the storefront feels distinctive and reflects my brand guide. • Introduce specific functionality enhancements (think dynamic product sections, advanced filtering, upsell modules or other app-free solutions where possible) without compromising performance. • Create a set of new page templates for About, Blog, FAQ and a modular landing page I can reuse for seasonal campaigns. Each template must be editable through the Shopify Theme Editor so I don’t need to touch code later. Please code using Liquid, HTML, SCSS and vanilla JavaScript (or Theme 2.0 compatible JSON sections where appropriate), keeping everything organised, commented and ready for future theme updates. Version control through a private GitHub repo is preferred; it helps me follow progress and roll back if needed. After the custom work is done, I’ll review the live theme on a staging store. I consider the job complete when design elements match the agreed mock-ups, new templates are selectable in the page settings, and all added features function bug-free across modern browsers and mobile devices.
