GPS Server Installation & Database Import Troubleshooting We are seeking a skilled server and database administrator to resolve critical issues with our self-hosted GPS tracking application. Objectives: Server Functionality Fix: Diagnose and correct the configuration issues preventing the GPS tracking server software and web application from running successfully on the new VPS environment. The system must be fully operational, allowing users to log in and view tracking data. Large Database Import Resolution: Successfully import a large 15GB MySQL database dump file. A smaller database import succeeded, but the full 15GB file is generating an error and preventing a complete system migration. The freelancer will need to resolve this import error (potentially a MySQL or server resource configuration issue). Device Connectivity: Verify all necessary device ports are open and configured correctly, ensuring that the GPS tracking devices can connect and come online on the new server. Required Expertise: Demonstrated experience with the probably GPS Server Application or similar self-hosted GPS tracking solutions. Expert knowledge of Windows Server administration, including firewall configuration and services management. Strong proficiency in MySQL database administration, particularly troubleshooting errors related to importing very large SQL files. Experience with Plesk or general web server management (IIS). The ideal candidate will efficiently pinpoint the root cause—whether it is an application configuration error, a firewall/port blocking issue, or a database import limit—and implement a lasting fix.
