The structural shell of my new-build home is now underway and I need an experienced civil site engineer to be physically present on site and keep the construction team on track. Your main responsibility is day-to-day supervision: checking that the crew is following the drawings, verifying line-and-level before pours, flagging any safety or workmanship issues immediately, and recording daily progress so we have a clear audit trail for council inspections and the bank. Because the project is already in the construction phase, momentum is critical. I expect you to liaise directly with the builder, concrete supplier, and surveyor, resolve minor technical queries on the spot, and escalate anything that could affect cost, schedule, or structural integrity. AutoCAD or similar drafting software is a plus for quick field sketches, and familiarity with Australian Standards and local council requirements will be essential. Deliverables I will use to sign off your work: • Daily site diary (photos + notes) delivered by 6 pm each workday • Immediate written notification of any non-conformance or safety concern • Weekly summary report outlining completed activities, upcoming critical tasks, and material test results if applicable The site is in the eastern suburbs; regular presence Monday to Friday is needed, with occasional Saturday visits when pours or crucial inspections are scheduled. If you are comfortable taking ownership of on-site supervision for a residential build that is already moving fast, I’m ready to get started this week.
