I’m building a Perl-based data processing tool and need help finishing two core pieces: the processing logic itself and a simple, username-and-password sign-in that gates access to the script’s interface. The data side is already sketched out—I have sample input files and a rough idea of the required transformations—but I want clean, well-structured Perl code that reads the files, processes records, and outputs a neatly formatted result set. Efficiency and clear sub-routines matter more to me than one-liners. For access control I only need classic username/password authentication. No OAuth or two-factor layers are planned, so a straightforward, secure implementation (hashed passwords, minimal dependencies) will do the job. Deliverables • Modular Perl script(s) that perform the full data processing workflow • Integrated username/password authentication layer • README explaining install steps, required CPAN modules, and how to add or change users I’m happy to test early iterations and give quick feedback, so short milestones are welcome.
