I am looking to hire an experienced font designer / typeface developer who can work on a custom font project for the Nuwabic language, specifically for the Nubic script, which is a linked/cursive script. This project was previously started with another developer who could not complete it, so you will be continuing and completing the work. The Nubic script includes: • Full alphabet set with starting, middle, and ending letter forms • Character linking rules • A complete keyboard map • Reference files from the previous developer to help understand the script structure I will provide: • Font reference files and examples of the script • All existing assets including character list and shape breakdowns • Documentation of required letter positions (initial, medial, final forms) Requirements: • Strong experience with font creation tools (such as FontForge, Glyphs App, FontLab, etc.) • Understanding of cursive / connected script behaviors • Ability to implement OpenType features (e.g. contextual alternates for linked letters) • Strong communication and ability to work from reference material Deliverables: • A fully working functional font file (OTF/TTF) • All linking and contextual rules correctly implemented • Final master file and vector files for future modifications
