I’m about to roll out a live learning portal and want to build it on Moodle while learning the platform hands-on. I need an experienced Moodle developer who can work side-by-side with me: setting up the site, configuring every key feature, and explaining each step so I can manage and extend the system on my own later. We will start from a clean server or hosting account, install Moodle, walk through roles, permissions, course structures, enrolment methods, grading and reporting. While we do that you’ll also show me best practices for theme selection, minor layout tweaks, and the safe way to add or adapt plugins should the project require extra functionality. The sessions will be interactive—screen-sharing over Zoom or a similar tool—so I can immediately practice what you demonstrate. Key deliverables • A production-ready Moodle portal, fully configured and branded for the live launch. • Real-time training sessions (recorded for my reference) covering installation, course creation, user administration and ongoing maintenance. • Implementation of any essential theme or plugin customisations we decide on during the build. • A concise set of notes or a quick-start document summarising the commands, settings and workflows covered. Acceptance criteria • The portal is publicly accessible, lets a test learner enrol, complete a sample course and generates accurate completion reports. • I can independently create a course, add activities, enrol users and run a backup without assistance. • Any custom code follows Moodle guidelines and passes an upgrade test.
