We are a UK-based national leak detection company specialising in locating and diagnosing hidden water leaks for domestic and commercial clients. We’re looking to redesign and rebuild our main company website in pure HTML/CSS/JS — no CMS — to improve conversion rates, user experience, and mobile performance while keeping all current headings and SEO content intact. The current version of the site is live, but we’re planning a complete visual and structural upgrade. The content and page structure will remain the same; we want a modernised layout, cleaner hierarchy, and improved responsiveness. Goals: Redesign the full website (homepage + all existing menu pages) to match best-in-class home service brands. Improve conversion rate by simplifying layout, adding stronger CTAs, and enhancing trust presentation. Deliver a fast, lightweight, mobile-first HTML build (no WordPress, no frameworks unless essential). Retain all existing headings and written content for SEO, but implement expandable “read more” or accordion sections to hide long text by default. Optimise UX and visual hierarchy — clearer structure, better call-to-action placement, and visual flow. Use colour and layout strategically: coloured hero section, white body areas, and high-contrast CTA buttons. Design Direction: We want the site to align visually with leading UK home service brands, such as: Pimlico Plumbers AnyVan Safestyle Windows Each of these uses a coloured hero section with a strong headline and CTA, followed by a white background body area featuring icons, trust elements, and concise service summaries. Key design preferences: Hero section: full-width coloured background (blue or teal) with bold headline, CTA buttons, and phone number. Body sections: white background with icons, trust badges, service summaries, and testimonials. CTAs: consistent accent colour (green or orange) for buttons and key interactions. Content visibility: long paragraphs hidden by default with “read more” toggles to improve scannability. Sticky header: phone number and “Book Online” button always visible. UX: simple, conversion-driven flow with emphasis on phone calls and enquiries. Deliverables: Complete homepage redesign. Redesign of all existing internal pages (services, about, contact, etc.). Fully responsive mobile-first HTML/CSS/JS build. Lightweight, fast-loading code optimised for Core Web Vitals. Image compression and asset optimisation. Clean, commented source code and final file delivery. SEO structure maintained (all headings, meta tags, and content preserved). Skills Required: Advanced HTML5, CSS3, and JS (no CMS) UX/UI design for service businesses Responsive and mobile-first design Conversion-focused layout design Understanding of on-page SEO and site structure Page speed optimisation Bonus Skills (Preferred but not essential): Experience with trades or home service websites Familiarity with Google Lighthouse / Core Web Vitals optimisation Ability to produce wireframes or mockups before coding
