I need to take our manually prepared MIS packs and turn them into a fully automated, repeatable process. Today every figure lives in Excel, and each day or week we copy-paste data, run look-ups and refresh pivot tables. I want that entire flow to happen automatically with the click of a button—or, better still, on a schedule. My tech stack preference is clear: both Python and SQL will sit at the core of the solution. Use Python for the heavy lifting (data pulls, transformation, scheduling scripts built in Visual Studio) and lean on SQL for structured storage and fast queries. Everything ultimately feeds back into Excel dashboards, so the output must open natively in Excel with no broken links or macros. Key objectives • Build Python/SQL scripts that pull raw data, cleanse it and load it into a well-designed database (MySQL, MS SQL, or even Access if you think it suits the size). • Automate the refresh of daily and weekly MIS reports, returning polished tables, charts and KPIs straight into Excel. • Optimise existing dashboards so management can slice data instantly without waiting for manual updates. • Set up a scheduler—Windows Task Scheduler, cron, or another tool you trust—to run jobs hands-free. • Ensure smooth integration with our current Excel-based workflow and keep the door open for future hooks into our ERP or CRM when we’re ready. I’m Mumbai-based and prefer someone who can drop into the office when deep dives are needed, though we can kick things off remotely. Clean, well-commented code, a short hand-over guide and a quick knowledge-transfer session at the end will wrap up the engagement. Show me previous automation work that proves you can turn raw data into click-free insight, and we can get started right away.
