We are looking for an experienced Next.js developer to migrate our newly launched financial SaaS platform from its current client-side React build to a fully featured Next.js codebase. Project Goals Our primary objective is to enable server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG) so that search engines can crawl and index every page effortlessly—resolving the visibility issues we face today. The migration should ensure all existing functionality—user authentication, custom forms, data-visualization charts etc. —is preserved and runs seamlessly. The new Next.js frontend will continue pulling data from the same REST endpoints, so requests, error handling, and state management must remain intact. Scope of Work Beyond a simple port, we want the project to fully embrace Next.js best practices: - Use next/image for automatic image optimisation. - Apply dynamic imports and code splitting for better performance. - Configure for high Lighthouse scores across SEO, accessibility, and performance. - Implement critical multilingual support (English & French) with SEO-friendly localized routes such as: abc.com/en/... abc.com/fr/... - Including proper hreflang tags, localized metadata, and routing best practices to maximize search visibility in both languages. - Ensure canonical tags, metadata handling (via next/head or the App Router’s metadata API), and clean routing are in place. There is no design work. It needs to remain the pixel-perfect same. Deliverables - A production-ready Next.js repository replacing the current React codebase. - Fully migrated authentication, forms, chart components etc. wired to our existing REST APIs. - SEO-optimized architecture, including localized routes, metadata, image optimisation, and validated crawlability improvements (via Google Search Console). - Deployment instructions and a handoff session to ensure our team can confidently continue iterating. What We’re Looking For - Proven experience migrating React projects to Next.js. - Strong knowledge of SSR, SSG, and SEO-friendly architecture. - Hands-on experience with multilingual routing and SEO best practices for international websites. - Expertise with REST API integration, authentication, and data visualization. - Performance-minded mindset, comfortable with Lighthouse audits, Core Web Vitals, and best practices.
