I have a small in-house web app that was written for PHP 4.x. It includes an index page with login, a checklogin.php file, and a handful of utility scripts that run reports or fire off background queries. After moving the server to modern PHP/Apache the code naturally broke, so I need each page and script brought forward to PHP 8.2 without losing existing behaviour. The first priority is the login and authentication flow; once that works we can move on to the reporting and background-query pieces. You must be comfortable reading very old procedural PHP, identifying deprecated functions, replacing them with current equivalents, and tightening up any loose security while you’re in there.
