I’m building a fully-automated “last man standing” football competition platform. Visitors should be able to create an account, pay the entry fee by credit or debit card, and then pick a club from the English Premier League or Championship for each round. After every match day the system must decide, without manual input, who advances and who is knocked out. Key flow • Account creation / secure login • Entry payment by card (Stripe or comparable gateway is fine) • Display of active competitions with open/closed status • One-click team selection limited to Premier League and Championship clubs • Automatic progression logic that checks results, flags eliminations, and sets up the next round • Slim user dashboard that focuses on each player’s current competition status • Admin back-end where I can create new competitions, set entry fees, and trigger result checks if needed Acceptance criteria • A user can register, pay, choose a team, and immediately see confirmation of their entry. • After results are imported (API or manual CSV upload—whichever is faster to implement) the system must update every participant’s status in one pass. • No human intervention is required to start the next round, apart from opening team-picking again. • Code should be clean, documented, and deployable on a standard VPS (Laravel, Django, Node, or similar stacks are all acceptable—use what you’re most efficient with).
