Our civil-engineering group needs a seasoned GIS analyst to keep our spatial data organised, reliable, and ready for everyday design and reporting tasks. All work centres on spatial data management—cleansing existing layers, harmonising projections, and loading everything into a coherent geodatabase that feeds our internal mapping and analysis tools. I already have raw shapefiles, CAD exports, and a few FGDBs from previous projects. Your job is to audit what’s there, fix naming and schema issues, resolve coordinate mismatches, and package the results so ArcGIS Pro and QGIS open them without a hitch. If you prefer PostGIS or another enterprise store we can discuss it; what matters is simple versioning, clear metadata, and zero broken links. Deliverables • A master geodatabase (or equivalent) with tidy, validated layers • Updated metadata and a short “how-to” note for future edits • A brief QA/QC summary highlighting corrections made and any gaps that still need attention Please outline the tools you intend to use, estimated turnaround, and any similar civil projects you have completed.
