What has to happen • Extend and refine the patient-facing workflow—extra data fields, smarter search filters, and a cleaner screen flow that cuts clicks for front-desk staff. • Build interactive analytics dashboards (think appointment trends, population health snapshots, clinician workload) that pull directly from the OpenEMR MySQL store and render in-app through a responsive JS front end. • Bake in GDPR safeguards: role-based access, explicit consent capture, data-export & erase routines, detailed audit logging, plus encryption at rest and in transit. Tech you’ll touch OpenEMR core (PHP), MySQL, Bootstrap/JavaScript, RESTful APIs, and any reporting library you favour—as long as it keeps the stack lightweight and maintainable. Acceptance criteria 1. All new features load with no fatal errors on a vanilla OpenEMR 7.x install. 2. Dashboards display on Chrome, Edge, and Safari without layout breaks. 3. GDPR audit trail passes a sample ICO compliance checklist I’ll provide. 4. Delivery includes well-commented code, a database migration script, and a brief README so future upgrades remain painless.
