Design Brief (Contest) – Full-page News Homepage Mockup Goal: Create a clean, modern full-page mockup (image only) of a news homepage inspired by WELT.de. Important: It must be legally distinct — do not copy WELT’s exact colors, logo, icons, grid, or code. Brand & Logo Use a placeholder logo and one of these names in the header: bundeskompass.de (preferred) / bundestagesblatt.de / bundes-kompass.de. What to deliver 1 Desktop full-page mockup (PNG/JPG or Figma link). 1 Mobile full-page mockup (PNG/JPG or Figma link). No coding. No complex prototype needed. Layout & Features (similar feel to WELT, but original) Compact header with logo, main sections (Politics, Economy, World, Tech, Culture), search. Breaking/News Ticker (small, always visible). Article layout with high information density and clear hierarchy. Category blocks with article cards (image, kicker/category, title, timestamp). Labels: “NEW” and “LIVE” chips where relevant. Optional: a slim football/sports scores strip. No ads in the design. Style Clean, newsroom feel. Balanced whitespace. Use your own color palette and icons (do not match WELT’s brand blue exactly). Simple, readable typography. Files Share Figma link (view access) or upload PNG/JPG exports. Name layers reasonably if using Figma (helps if we extend later).
