I’m looking for a senior-level hands-on Tech Lead who can own both the code and the people behind it. You’ll come in with at least eight years of real-world software development and leadership experience, and your deepest expertise is unmistakably in Python. While you’ll still feel comfortable reading or guiding work in Java or JavaScript, most of our core services (and therefore the key technical decisions) sit squarely in the Python ecosystem. Day to day you will architect, code-review, and steer multiple squads that build microservice-based, containerised solutions on AWS. Expect to split your focus between technical strategy—designing highly available, scalable systems—and the human side of delivery: mentoring engineers, unblocking cross-functional teams, and keeping stakeholders in every time zone aligned and informed. Because AI capabilities are becoming central to our roadmap, I need you to be able to speak the language of machine learning: selecting the right frameworks, orchestrating model lifecycles on AWS, and ensuring that our data pipelines and inference endpoints play nicely with the broader DevOps toolchain (CI/CD, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes). Key deliverables I’ll measure in the first three months: • An architecture blueprint for the next major product release, including service boundaries, data flow, and choice of AWS components • A technical debt and quality report with concrete refactor or automation recommendations • A mentoring and upskilling plan for the mid-level engineers you’ll directly coach If you thrive on balancing code quality, cloud infrastructure, AI integration, and team leadership—and can communicate decisions clearly to both developers and executives—I’d love to chat about bringing you on board.
