I’m building a small, invitation-only website where a hand-picked group (no more than ten members at launch) can browse “unseen” deals and talk in private. The core of the project is two tightly integrated modules: • Private chat rooms – each member must be able to open or join topic-based chats that remain invisible to non-invited users. Think Slack-style threads, but stripped down to essentials: text, link sharing, file attachments under 20 MB, and read receipts. • Exclusive deal listings – a browsable, searchable area where I publish limited-time offers. Each listing should support images, short/long description, expiry countdown, and an “I’m interested” button that kicks off a direct chat with me. Access control is critical: only users I explicitly invite via email can create an account. Once they accept, they should land on a clean dashboard that shows new chats and fresh deals at a glance. I don’t need a mobile app yet, so the entire experience can be responsive web (React, Next.js, Vue or something similarly modern on the front end; Node, Laravel, Django—choose what you do best—for the back end). Just keep the codebase clean, documented, and ready for future mobile wrappers. Deliverables 1. Fully functional website deployed to my cloud host (AWS, DigitalOcean, or Vercel—your recommendation welcomed). 2. Source code in a private Git repo with setup instructions. 3. Admin panel or script for sending invites, posting deals, and creating/deleting chat rooms. 4. Brief PDF/markdown hand-off guide covering deployment, backup, and adding future seats.
