We are looking for an experienced freelancer to enhance and customize our POS (Point of Sale) and Kitchen Display System (KDS). The system is used in a retail/food service environment, and we require improvements to streamline order processing, payment handling, and kitchen workflow. Scope of Work The freelancer will be responsible for implementing or improving the following features: Display customer contact information on the kitchen display. Show balance or outstanding payment amount on the kitchen display. Ensure latest orders appear first in the kitchen display. Ensure kitchen display orders match POS register orders during register closing. Ensure completed orders and closed orders tally correctly when closing the register. Display payment status (Paid / Partial / Due) clearly in POS and kitchen display. Add a print option for order details. Implement a 30-minute notification reminder on the branch phone. Separate product categories in the kitchen display for easier order management. Ensure only relevant processed/shipped orders appear in the kitchen display. Generate daily sales reports showing total quantity sold in KG. Implement petty cash management including cash-in and cash-out tracking. Add a recent customer/order list in POS to allow quick reordering when a customer returns shortly. Display customer name and contact number in the recent order list. Ensure instant orders automatically appear in the completed orders list once finished. Allow internal notes with image attachments in orders. Support discount options including percentage discount and flat amount discount. Integrate POS with payment terminals/machines for seamless card payment processing. Simplify advance payment and balance payment workflow so staff can easily record advance payments and collect remaining balances later. Resolve kitchen display loading/performance issues so orders load quickly and update in real time. Requirements for Freelancer Experience working with POS systems or restaurant/order management systems. Strong knowledge of backend and frontend development. Experience with payment gateway or payment terminal integration. Ability to optimize system performance and improve loading speed. Ability to deliver clean, well-documented code.
