I need a browser-based attendance system that will live on a single in-office device but still feel like a modern app. Staff will log in with their ID, tap to Check-In or Check-Out, and see their own calendar view that highlights present days, approved holidays, or any of the three leave types we use: Sick, Vacation, and Maternity/Paternity. An admin panel must sit behind secure credentials and let me: • add, or deactivate staff records in seconds, • declare company holidays or one-off closures so they propagate automatically to every user calendar, and • pull real-time attendance reports—daily roll calls, monthly summaries, late arrivals, exportable to CSV, PDF, excel, json. The interface has to be colorful and dynamic, scaling smoothly from a 10-inch tablet up to a desktop monitor. I’m fine with any modern web stack as long as the final build is responsive, loads quickly on our network, and uses clear componentized code so a future developer can extend it. Core acceptance criteria • Single-device deployment with no external log-ins required. • Real-time update of status the moment someone checks in or out. • Calendar view reflects holidays and approved leave instantly. • Admin actions (staff edits, holiday settings) take effect without page reload. • Clean, commented code plus a short README explaining setup and backups.
