I want to leave my current WordPress-based setup behind and stand up a fresh, purpose-built Learning Management System. The new platform must focus on solid course management for self-paced learning and carry over everything I already have—video lectures, text lessons, quizzes and existing user progress—in one smooth migration. Here is the core of the assignment: • Build the LMS from scratch on a modern framework (Laravel, Django, Node or similar) with clean, modular code. • Implement course creation and organisation, lesson sequencing, video streaming/hosting hooks, rich-text or markdown lessons, and an integrated quiz engine. • Migrate all current data: course structures, media files, quiz banks, enrolments and completion records. • Deliver an intuitive admin panel so I can add or edit courses without touching code. • Provide documentation, environment setup instructions and a straightforward deployment workflow (Docker, CI/CD or equivalent). Acceptance criteria 1. Every existing course plays correctly in the new LMS, including quizzes and scoring. 2. Admin UI supports full CRUD for courses, modules, lessons and quizzes. 3. Codebase is secure, well-commented and handed over in a private repository. 4. A brief live walkthrough confirms migration accuracy and system stability. Include in your proposal the tech stack you prefer, your migration strategy, and a timeline broken into clear milestones—from core build through QA and final hand-off.
