I’m building a focused marketplace that works like Freelancer.com but is purpose-built for software and IT professionals for mentoring and training support. The goal is simple: let developers, consultants and trainers showcase what they can do, and let clients who need software development, mentoring or training find and engage them quickly. Core experience Users must be able to register, create rich profiles that feature their portfolio, skills those profiles without friction. A client can then post a project or a mentoring/training request, and the right professionals can respond, discuss the details in an embedded real-time messenger and move the work forward. Key requirements • Modern, responsive web app built on a framework that’s easy to maintain (Laravel, Django, Node, or a comparable stack). • Secure authentication, role-based dashboards for clients and professionals, and an admin console for moderation. • Profile pages with portfolio sections: code samples, screenshots, GitHub links or downloadable files. • Automatic portfolio creation from Linkedin URL. • Private, threaded messaging with optional file attachments, delivered instantly and stored securely. • Project posting workflow that captures category (development, mentoring, training), budget range, timeline and tech stack. • Clean search and filtering so clients locate the right talent fast. • Solid database schema ready for future features such as escrow, milestone billing or public bidding. Deliverable & acceptance 1. A fully deployed MVP on my chosen cloud host. 2. Source code in a private Git repository with clear setup instructions. 3. Brief user guide covering account creation, project posting and messaging. The build is accepted once I can create two accounts, publish a software development request, receive a response, and complete a back-and-forth conversation entirely inside the platform without errors.
