I want a developer who can design and code a fully-featured alumni management system from the ground up and deploy it as a web application under my primary domain. Because I’ve chosen a custom-built approach, the stack is flexible as long as it is secure, modular, and easy for future developers to extend. Core functionality The platform has to cover every item usually classed as “Essentials” (member directory, profile editing, bulk messaging, donation tracking, analytics, and so on) plus the features below: • Automated Emails – trigger-based campaigns for welcomes, renewals, event reminders, and announcements. I’m not tied to a single provider; Mailchimp, SendGrid, Amazon SES, or another reliable SMTP service will work as long as delivery is rock-solid and templates are easy for a non-technical admin to update. • Digital Membership Cards – unique, mobile-friendly cards that pull live status and expiry data. • Group Memberships – the ability to create sub-chapters or interest groups with their own admins and discussion spaces. • Event Check-ins – QR or barcode scanning at the door that syncs attendance instantly to each member’s record. • Custom CSS – brand colours, typography, and layouts must be editable without touching core code. • Integrations – Stripe (or similar) for payments, social-media login/sharing, and two-way sync with our existing CRM. Technical notes • Clean REST or GraphQL API endpoints are essential so future mobile apps can consume the same data. • Please follow best practices for security (OWASP Top 10), access control, and GDPR-ready data handling. • Unit tests and concise developer documentation must ship with the codebase. • Deployment should be containerised (Docker or similar) to simplify staging and production rollouts. Deliverable A production-ready alumni management web platform, fully installed on our server, populated with sample data, and demonstrated live to confirm every feature above operates as expected.
