I need our existing Excel PowerQuery workbook—currently powering climate-roadmap analytics for several plants worldwide—rebuilt as a live Tableau dashboard. The file holds thousands of action-level records extracted from our core IT tool; until now we refresh it manually through Excel exports, run PowerQuery scripts, then distribute static reports. With a new direct API that my IT team will expose between the tool and Tableau, I want the whole workflow moved to Tableau so every plant can access real-time views and generate its own official reports on demand. The visuals, filters and overall layout should mimic the current Excel report as closely as Tableau will allow; users are already comfortable with that structure. If parts of the existing PowerQuery logic prove difficult to reproduce natively, I’m open to you recoding them in Python as an intermediate step, provided the final data lands seamlessly in Tableau. Deliverables • A Tableau workbook (or set of workbooks) replicating all metrics, calculations and views now in the Excel file • A clean, automated data pipeline using either Tableau’s native connectors or your Python scripts tied to the new API • Handover documentation so my IT team can maintain refresh schedules, add plants and adjust calculations in the future Additional, custom developments & project extensions are expected.
