The project focuses on strengthening localBank’s cybersecurity by simulating real-world cyber incidents. It involves detecting threats, investigating attackers using intelligence tools, and responding through incident recovery and AI detection. The goal is to build practical skills in protecting financial institutions from cyber threats.Simulate the work of a real SOC team by building a portfolio that spans threat detection, threat intelligence, incident response, and disaster recovery. Your deliverables should be framed within realistic attack scenarios that you will define and justify. It must simulate real-world events and apply tools and techniques (MISP, Maltego, spiderfoot, python with scikit-learn or ML library). Demonstrating both technical competence and analytical thinking. Project Requirements and Deliverables: This project consists of three key deliverables. Each deliverable must be based on a scenario of your own design, which should be: • Relevant to a financial institution • Realistic in terms of threat tactics and organisational environment • Justified using threat intelligence sources or recent incidents You're encouraged to use real examples (e.g., threat actor profiles from MITRE ATT&CK or VirusTotal intelligence) or create plausible simulations based on known tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs). Include examples of past work on similar simulations or SOC projects so I can gauge fit and approach.
