Job Type: Freelance potentially leading to Full Time Description TheMALL Channel is seeking a talented 3D Modeler to help refine digital garment assets. The successful candidate will take existing digital assets that make up garments to create, integrate, and optimize additional high-quality 3D assets for a variety of garments. You should be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, collaborative, startup-style environment. Responsibilities • Collaborate with teams: Work with leadership team and developers to refine pre-existing models to deliver stunning, high-quality visual assets that meet project requirements. • Create 3D assets: Build and add to detailed 3D models objects based on pre-determined design specifications. • Develop materials: Apply texturing and lighting to enhance appearance and realism of display-ready assets with shaders and textures. • Provide guidelines and documentation: Develop and provide clear documentation and other references of processes used to support the work of internal and external artists. • Create and maintain a consistent art style and visual quality: Use your expertise and skills to maintain and carry visual continuity of original assets to final deliverables. • Optimize models: Prepare models for their intended use, by optimizing them for performance across platforms. • Stay current: Keep up-to-date with industry trends, workflows, and commercial 3D modeling advancements. Requirements • 5+ years of experience as an Environment Artist in AAA game development. • Proven experience shipping at least one major title. • A strong portfolio showcasing your environment art and demonstrating a practical, technical workflow. • Experienced proficiency using 3D modeling and sculpting softwares Browzwear and Blender. • Proficiency in PBR compliant content creation and industry-standard texturing tools like Photoshop and Substance Painter. • Strong understanding of anatomy, proportions, and design principles, along with materials, shaders, look development and rendering skills. • A keen eye for detail and consistency. • Self-motivated and a team player with strong communication skills. • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
