I have a set of automotive components that are already roughed-out in 3D, but they still need a true Design-for-Manufacturing pass before they can head to the factory floor. Your mission is to take the existing geometry, run it through SolidWorks, and return production-ready models and drawings that a machine shop or Tier-1 supplier can pick up without a single question. The focus is squarely on manufacturability. Wall thickness, draft, tolerances, fastener strategy, and material call-outs all need to meet common automotive standards. If a feature looks great on screen but will drive up tooling cost, flag it and suggest an alternative—I’m counting on your practical insight as much as your CAD skills. Deliverables • SolidWorks 2022 (or newer) part and assembly files • Fully detailed 2D drawings with GD&T, BOM, and revision block • An annotated PDF explaining any design changes or cost-saving recommendations I’m ready to review progress in short checkpoints, so feel free to break the work into logical milestones—housing, bracketry, and cover plate, for example.
