I’m building an online student-management app whose very first milestone is a rock-solid attendance module. The goal is simple: every student carries a unique ID, and the moment that ID is read the system should mark the student present without any manual steps from teachers. I only need this attendance workflow for now, but it has to be production-ready so the rest of the management features can plug in later. Core objectives • Associate each student profile with a unique, scannable ID (card, barcode, RFID, etc.—I’m open to the technology you recommend). • The scan triggers an automatic timestamped entry in the database; no teacher input screens required. • Provide a clean web or mobile dashboard where I can filter, search and export attendance records by date, class or individual student. • Basic admin views to create/edit student records and replace lost IDs. Tech stack is flexible as long as the final deliverable includes source code, a documented database schema, and a quick setup guide so I can deploy it in my own environment.
