The goal is an Android-only mobile app that brings daily spending, investment positions and budgeting goals together in one clean interface. I need three input methods to coexist smoothly: classic manual entry for quick notes, receipt capture via the phone’s camera (OCR to pull figures is a plus), and secure bank connection so transactions can stream in automatically. Core modules • Expense tracking – categorise, tag, and display running totals. • Investment tracking – show holdings, cost basis and performance snapshots. • Budgeting tools – monthly or custom periods with alerts when limits are near. A single dashboard should summarise cash flow and portfolio performance, with drill-downs for each category. Dark/light themes, local data encryption and export to CSV or PDF reports would round out the user experience. Deliverables • Full Android Studio project (Kotlin or Java) with commented source code • Signed APK ready for Play Store submission • Setup notes for bank-linking service (e.g. Plaid, Tink or similar) and for receipt OCR library • One-page user guide and brief developer documentation Hand-off is complete when I can install the APK, connect a test bank account, snap a receipt and see all three data sources reflected in the dashboard without crashes or major UI issues.
