The mobile front-end is already underway, so I’m focused on a clean, scalable service layer that can stream real-time insights to drivers and manage paid subscriptions seamlessly. Core data feeds The platform must pull and merge: traffic information, weather updates, flight arrivals plus additional surge and local-event data. These sources will arrive over REST or WebSocket APIs and should be normalised, cached, and served to the app with minimal latency. What I expect you to deliver • Robust architecture (stack is flexible; propose what you know will scale) • Data-ingestion pipelines for every feed above, with health checks and fail-over logic • Secure API endpoints that the front-end team can consume (REST or GraphQL) • User management and a tiered subscription / in-app purchase system, including free trial handling and webhook-driven billing events • Deployment scripts and basic monitoring so I can see uptime, query times, and subscription metrics • Technical documentation good enough for another engineer to extend without hand-holding You will collaborate directly with the front-end lead to align contract models and endpoint payloads, but no UI work is required on your side. If you’ve shipped high-traffic microservice or monolithic backends before, know your way around real-time data (e.g., Redis, Kafka, or similar), and can integrate Stripe or comparable payment providers with confidence, I’d love to see your proposal and a quick outline of the stack you recommend along with timelines for the milestones above.
