Project Overview We are seeking a skilled 3D render artist or studio to create a short, looping hero banner video that visually compares the durability of a high-quality plastic wrap against a competitor’s plastic wrap. The video will serve as the top section of a website, replacing the headline area. It must quickly communicate how our wrap maintains its integrity and aesthetic appearance over 12 months, while the competitor’s product visibly degrades. Creative Concept Side-by-side comparison: Left: Competitor’s plastic wrap progressively degrades — ink fades, waves in plastic wrap threading, noticeable weaving gaps, and the underlying product shows damage. Right: Our premium plastic wrap remains intact, clean, and visually appealing; and the underlying product maintains it's quality. Duration: 6–8 seconds total, simulating a 12-month time-lapse. Looping: The video should loop seamlessly for use as a website hero banner. Aspect Ratio: Full-width format (16:9 or 21:9), optimized for autoplay on desktop and mobile. Mood: Cinematic, realistic, professional. The viewer should immediately feel the strength and reliability of the product. Seasonal Weather Simulation The changing seasons should not only symbolize the passage of time but, more importantly, demonstrate that the wrap can withstand all outdoor weather conditions and remain pristine. Please include realistic environmental effects such as: Sunlight transitions – bright summer sun shifting to lower winter tones. Rainfall – water interacting naturally, showing proper runoff on the premium wrap and retention or damage on the competitor’s. Snow accumulation and melt – highlighting resilience in cold and wet conditions. Wind effects – subtle movement of leaves and debris to reinforce exposure to natural elements. This environmental simulation should visually communicate endurance, quality, and long-term protection under real outdoor conditions. Deliverables Primary Render: 4K (or high-resolution) looping video (MP4 + WebM). Web-Optimized Version: Compressed, autoplay-friendly format for website hero section. Optional: Shortened variant (≤10 seconds) for social media use. Technical Direction Lighting: Consistent global illumination; natural outdoor light transitions over time. Animation: Smooth, fast-paced time-lapse with visible weather cycles (sun → rain → snow → sun). Surface Effects: Competitor side — peeling, discoloration, warping, mold, and cracking. Premium wrap side — minor dirt, but no structural degradation. Camera: Gentle dolly or zoom to maintain depth without distracting from the comparison. Text Overlay (optional): “12 Months Later” or “1 Year of Exposure” at the end for clarity. References / Inspiration We’re inspired by: Procedural weathering / material aging demos in Blender or Unreal Engine. Industrial coating comparisons (Rust-Oleum, 3M, DuPont-style videos). Material decay simulations using PBR shaders with weather-driven transitions. If you have prior examples of environmental or material aging simulations, please include them in your proposal.
