I want to bring the classic “Plants vs Zombies” tower-defence idea to the PC in full 3D. The end product should run smoothly on Windows, include a story-driven single-player campaign, and also let two players face off online or over LAN. Gameplay & scope • Core loop identical in spirit to the original: waves of quirky zombies advance along lanes and must be stopped by strategically placed plants. • A modest roster of plants and zombies is fine to start—balancing can evolve after the first playable build. • Single-player should offer a progressive set of levels that unlock new plants, introduce tougher zombies and finish with a boss fight. • Multiplayer must allow each player to pick a side (plants or zombies) and compete in real time, with matchmaking or a simple server-browser menu. Tech & art direction The entire game needs to be rendered in 3D. Feel free to use Unity, Unreal Engine or another modern engine you are comfortable with, as long as the final build is easy to install and play on common consumer PCs. Bright, cartoony models that echo the charm of the original 2D sprites are preferred; this should look playful, not hyper-realistic. Deliverables – Windows-ready executable – Complete source project with all scripts, shaders and 3D assets – Read-me explaining build steps, engine version and any third-party plug-ins used – Basic GDD outlining game mechanics, controls and progression Acceptance criteria • Single-player campaign can be finished end-to-end without crashes. • Multiplayer session connects two PCs and stays in sync for an entire match. • Average frame-rate of 60 FPS on a mid-range GPU (GTX 1060 or equivalent). • All assets are either original or properly licensed. Once these milestones are met I will test, give feedback on balance and visual polish, and then we can iterate toward a content-complete 1.0 release.
