WordPress / WooCommerce Migration Specialist Needed (WordPress.com → VPS) Project type: One-off migration (immediate start preferred) We’re looking for an experienced WordPress + WooCommerce developer to complete a migration from WordPress.com hosting to a VPS (cPanel / CloudLinux). Our hosting provider attempted the migration but paused due to WordPress.com CDN-generated images and thumbnails, which require developer-level handling. This is a live eCommerce marketplace (not a brochure site), so experience matters. Project overview Website: Large WooCommerce marketplace Products: ~35,000 Plugins: WooCommerce, Dokan (multi-vendor) Current host: WordPress.com Destination: VPS with cPanel (CloudLinux) Scope of work Complete WordPress.com → VPS migration Properly migrate media library Regenerate all WordPress & WooCommerce image sizes Fix missing product thumbnails / galleries Ensure Dokan vendor stores function correctly Preserve URLs, SEO structure, and metadata Final QA to ensure checkout, cart, and product pages work correctly Key challenge (must understand) WordPress.com dynamically generates image sizes via CDN. Thumbnails need to be recreated/regenerated correctly on the VPS post-migration. If you haven’t dealt with this before, this project is not a good fit.
