I’m putting together a straightforward web-based portal so my team can finally keep every piece of supplier information in a single, well-organised place. The core use case is simple: manage supplier data—nothing more exotic—but I do need it to cover all of the details we handle day-to-day. Here’s what the first release must let us do: • Store and edit contact details for each supplier. • Maintain a searchable product catalogue, complete with categories and basic inventory tracking so we can see current stock at a glance. • Record payment history and other financial details in a way that’s easy to update and export. • Allow quick “Docs uplode” (contracts, certificates, W-9s, etc.) and tie each file to the correct supplier profile. I’m flexible on the underlying tech stack as long as the interface is intuitive for non-technical users, loads quickly in modern browsers, and the data can be exported to CSV or Excel. A clean login screen and simple role permissions (admin vs. read-only) will round things out for launch. Deliverable: a working web application deployed to a test server, with clear setup instructions and source code handed over so we can host it internally later.
