Stylized Characters for Animation Film

I’m deep into pre-production on a short animated film and now need 4–6 original, stylized 3D characters brought to life. Each design is already sketched, but they must be translated into clean, animation-ready models that preserve the expressive shapes and proportions in the concept art. What I’m after The style sits somewhere between exaggerated cartoon and semi-real—think bold silhouettes, simplified details, and textures that read well on screen without chasing photorealism. The final models will be used in close-ups, so good topology and clean edge flow for facial and body deformation are crucial. Scope of work • Model each character from the supplied front/side concepts • Create UVs and bake maps so every asset is texture-ready • Provide basic PBR texture sets (base color, roughness, normal at minimum) that match the palette in the artwork • Export in a mainstream format (.fbx or .blend preferred) with naming that fits our pipeline • Keep polycount efficient—mid-level detail for film, not game LODs Acceptance criteria 1. Mesh deforms smoothly when a simple rig is applied (I’ll test basic bends and facial poses). 2. No flipped normals, open edges, or overlapping UVs. 3. Shaders render correctly in both Eevee and Cycles. 4. Deliverables pass an internal review for silhouette accuracy against the original sketches.
