Designing a house, I intend to learn Sketchup and create 2D layouts in it and later make renderings from them. Possibly I will need someone to occasionally answer a technical question concerning how to make proper 2D layouts; most likely, I will need someone to make 3D renderings (and lateral plans) from them (nothing fancy, just enough to make plans that can be used by engineers to set up the actual technical drawings), or at least help me do that, or something in between. Those renderings need not be photo-realistic. Having them usable for the engineering company that will make executable plans from them will do. Please let me know it this makes sense at all (it may very well not, since I'm in no way acquainted with the processes involved when using SketchUp), and how you would go about it.
