Simple Anonymous Chat Website

I need a lightweight, fully-functional website that lets visitors jump straight into a one-on-one text conversation with a random stranger. It must work seamlessly on both desktop and mobile browsers, feel modern, and rely on an off-the-shelf theme or template so the build stays lean. Core requirements • Random chat pairing is the only mandatory feature. When a user lands on the page and clicks “Start,” they should instantly connect to another available user in a private room. • No sign-up flow, profiles, or stored identities—everything stays anonymous. • Clean, modern UI: you’re free to customise colours and typography, but the overall aesthetic should remain uncluttered and contemporary. • Fully responsive layout; I’ll test it in Chrome, Safari, and Firefox on both desktop and mobile to confirm the experience is identical. • Basic admin access so I can monitor active sessions and ban abusive IPs if necessary (a simple dashboard or command-line script is enough). Feel free to leverage open-source components (Socket.io, Express, Next.js, Vue, whichever you prefer) and an existing Bootstrap/Tailwind theme to keep development time short and costs controlled. Once everything is running smoothly on your staging server, hand over the source code and a short README explaining any environment variables and deployment steps—I’ll host it myself. If this works well, I may extend the site later with features like anonymous login or optional profiles, but for now the focus is a fast, minimalist MVP that just works.
