I need a REST-based bridge between Sage 50 Accounts (UK desktop edition) and our Minsoft warehouse portal so that dispatch-related data stays in sync without manual exports. The API must be able to: • Read and write order details, inventory levels, customer information, and carrier tracking data. • Push fresh data from Sage 50 to Minsoft before the pick/pack stage. • Pull dispatch confirmations and tracking references from Minsoft and write them back to the original records in Sage 50. Minsoft’s documentation will guide the final auth method, so please be prepared to recommend and implement API-key, OAuth, or Basic authentication once we confirm what their platform accepts. Deliverables I expect: 1. Source-controlled, well-commented code for the REST service. 2. A small Postman or Swagger collection that proves each endpoint works end-to-end with sample data. 3. Clear installation steps so the service can run on our Windows Server alongside Sage 50. 4. A short hand-off guide that shows our team how to regenerate credentials or adjust endpoint URLs. Everything should be written in clean, maintainable code and accompanied by concise documentation so future upgrades to Sage 50 or Minsoft can be handled easily. If an off-the-shelf connector or SDK will speed things up, I am happy to consider it—just outline the licensing implications.
