S-Pen Sketch Overlay

I need an Android background service for Galaxy devices with an S-Pen. Its sole purpose is to pop up a full-screen, blank “paper” from any screen by performing a simple global gesture; feel free to choose whichever gesture (swipe, tap, etc.) is most reliable. The moment the overlay appears it should show whatever was last written on it—no new note is ever created and nothing is filed away in Samsung Notes. Closing the overlay merely hides it in memory so it can be summoned again exactly as it was. The core is note-taking, not elaborate UI/UX. Only three drawing tools are required: pen, eraser and highlighter. No keyboard, shape tools or text recognition. Think of it as an ever-present scratchpad that follows the user everywhere. Key acceptance criteria • Runs silently in the background without hampering battery life or other apps • Gesture triggers the overlay from any foreground app or home screen • Persistent canvas: whatever I draw remains until I explicitly erase it • Tools limited to pen, eraser and highlighter with basic color/size options • Compatible with recent Galaxy S-Pen models (e.g., Note20, S25 Ultra) (MUST WORK ON S25 ULTRA) • Deliverables: signed APK for immediate testing, full source code (Kotlin or Java) and build instructions If you have experience with S-Pen SDK, over-draw overlays or accessibility services to capture global gestures, this should be straightforward. Let me know how you would tackle gesture detection and persistence, and the timeline you need to hand over a polished, lightweight solution.
