I am working with QuickBooks Premier Accountant 2021 Desktop (UK) and have run into two pieces of corruption inside the main company file. • Vendor master records: when I open any vendor to correct a VAT Registration Number, the Currency field is suddenly blank and permanently greyed out. • One employee’s profile: attempting to amend the Date of Birth forces QuickBooks to crash and close. Everything else—sales invoices, bills, payments—remains fully operational. I have a healthy backup from 28/10 in addition to the live file, yet my preference is to repair the current database so day-to-day work can continue uninterrupted. Should you find that impossible, we can fall back to the backup, but only after all critical memorised transactions have been recreated or migrated; I am happy to let you generate new memorised entries where that proves faster than salvaging the old ones. Deliverables I expect are: 1. A clean, fully functional QBW file in which both the vendor VAT fields and the employee Date of Birth can be edited without errors. and a backup file is corruption free. 2. A brief report of what was fixed (or rebuilt) and any preventive steps I should take. I will supply the QBW file, its 1GB each , and the 28/10 backup immediately and can arrange a TeamViewer or AnyDesk session if remote work inside my environment is preferable.
