New Junior PHP / Laravel Developer Needed now for long term and at low budget. The immediate focus will be feature enhancements, refactoring legacy PHP, and tightening up automated tests, but the relationship is intended to expand into regular maintenance, performance tuning, and roadmap-driven releases. You’ll be diving into a clean, Git-managed codebase, working through pull requests and documented issues. I prefer clear, commented code that follows Laravel best practices, PSR-12 style, and leverages Eloquent efficiently. Familiarity with RESTful patterns, queue workers, and basic server administration (Envoy, Forge, or similar) will help you hit the ground running. For our first milestone, I’d like you to: • Review the current service layer and suggest optimisations • Implement at least one small feature end-to-end (routes, controllers, blade/vite assets) • Ship unit and feature tests covering the new logic If we both feel it’s a good fit after that, we’ll schedule sprints and iterate continuously. Let me know your typical availability and any relevant Laravel projects you can share, and we can get started right away.
