My friend and I are starting a privacy phone company. We buy new phones, "de-Google" them, spec them with security/privacy features and bundle with privacy accessories. Our audience consists of those who dislike the UK government and companies that increasingly insist on invasively tracking citizens for advertising purposes or monitoring. We will trade under "Penumbra Phones" or as "Penumbra". We also offer eSIM and VPN packages. We wish to present an image of: Security/safety, professionalism, trustworthy discretion, sympathy to people’s concerns of Digital ID, and a premium (but not exclusionary) vibe. I also take a liking to Apple’s copywriting style, so I’d like to mimic their voice with Penumbra. We’d like a logo that is an abstract or pictorial mark that can be presented by itself or sit neatly next to a simple, accompanying word mark. We’d also like generic animations of the logo that can be suitable for the website’s loading screens (seamless looping), 1-5 second long video intro and outro animation of the logo and the like. We would also like a design language guide that would inform us on cohesive colour schemes, fonts and a pack of generic graphics that match the branding. I’ll be working with someone else to help me build the website, as what we require will be very technically involved, and I’d prefer to be more hands-on with that aspect, but we would also greatly appreciate some mock-ups or design guides to aid us in building the front end. We will be working with a supplier to make packaging, but I’d like it to be very simple — just the pictorial/abstract mark on the top of a premium-feeling black box and perhaps some small text on the bottom, if there are any legal requirements to do so. Despite this, I would still be open to any input you may have regarding packaging designs. Thank you, Kudzayi Mberi
