Multi-Function Medical Bed Design

I am developing a hospital bed that must serve three core purposes at once: maximise patient comfort, support everyday and emergency medical procedures, and make transfers or repositioning easier for staff and patients alike. To achieve this, the design has to incorporate the following essential features: • Adjustable height for safe transfers and caregiver ergonomics • Full-range tilting (Trendelenburg and reverse) for clinical positioning • Integrated side rails that lock firmly yet fold away smoothly On top of those, I also need the bed to include: • A built-in weighing scale accurate enough for critical-care dosing • Remote-control operability so adjustments can be made by staff or the patient without manual cranks • A high-density memory-foam mattress, contoured to the frame, that can be removed for cleaning Please develop an end-to-end design package that covers concept sketches, 3-D CAD models (STEP or SolidWorks native), a simple exploded view for manufacturing, recommended materials/finishes suitable for frequent disinfection, and preliminary calculations for load limits and motor selection. If any off-the-shelf actuators or controllers are proposed, list their specs so I can source them locally. I will review the work against these acceptance criteria: all listed functions operate within standard hospital bed dimensional envelopes, parts can be fabricated or procured without exotic processes, and the documentation is clear enough for a manufacturer to quote with minimal follow-up.
