We’re looking for an experienced Industrial Designer to help design the exterior look and feel of a sleek, modern, and friendly humanoid robot. This is focused on industrial design + form development (not full robotics engineering). Scope of Work - Create multiple concept directions for the robot’s overall design language - Define proportions for head/face, torso, arms, and key “friendly” elements (approachable + premium) - Develop clean visual renders (2D/3D) and iterate based on feedback - Produce final deliverables suitable for engineering handoff Deliverables - 3–5 initial concept options (sketches or rough 3D) - 1 selected direction refined into high-quality renders - Basic 3D model (preferred) + key views (front/side/back) - Simple style guide (colors/materials/finish suggestions) Requirements - Strong portfolio in industrial design / consumer hardware / robotics - Experience with CAD (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Rhino, etc.) - Ability to design friendly, minimal, premium products - Great communication and fast iteration cycles Nice to Have - Experience designing for robotics, medical devices, or consumer electronics - CMF (color/material/finish) expertise To Apply Please share: - Portfolio links (required) - Relevant robotics/hardware examples - Your CAD tools - Estimated timeline and hourly rate This project will start as a short design sprint and can expand into a longer engagement if it’s a great fit.
