3D Modeling for Wall Decor: High-Relief portal Project Overview I am looking for a skilled 3D artist/modeler to create a detailed 3D model of the historical portal of the "Salina di Lungro" (Lungro Salt Mine). The final model will be used to produce a physical decorative wall hanging (via 3D printing or CNC). Therefore, the design must be optimized for a relief format with a flat back, while maintaining a strong sense of depth and perspective on the front. Design Specifications I will provide a reference photo that the design must closely match. The structure consists of: The Portal/Gallery: The central part must feature the opening of the gallery tunnel. This area needs to be recessed (sunken) into the geometry to create a realistic effect of depth and perspective, simulating the entrance to the mine. Upper Wall Section: Above the tunnel, there is a smooth wall section. Side Columns: On the far left and far right of this upper section, there should be vertical fluting/grooves. These should serve as a stylized abstraction of Ionic columns. Surface Texture: The entire model must feature a realistic stone texture/effect to simulate the actual material of the mine entrance. Typography / Text Details In the center of the upper smooth wall, the following text must be engraved or embossed (using a Roman-style font): First Line: R. SALINA Second Line: LUNGRO - UNGRA Deliverables & Workflow The project will require a collaborative approach with a mandatory intermediate check. Phase 1 - Draft/Blocking (Milestone 1): Submission of the initial 3D shape and volume layout (without final textures) to validate proportions, the depth of the tunnel, and the text placement. Phase 2 - Detailing & Texturing: Adding the stone surface effect and refining the column details. Phase 3 - Final Delivery: Final high-resolution 3D file (STL/OBJ format preferred) ready for production. Requirements Experience in 3D modeling for 3D printing or CNC reliefs. Ability to create organic textures (stone/rock). Software proficiency (ZBrush, Blender, Rhino, or similar).
