Hi! I’m working on a fun project for my small business — a modular, hex-shaped enclosure system for jumping spiders that links together into a flat honeycomb layout using small reversible clips. I have sketches and rough models already and I’m looking for someone who can help turn them into clean, print-ready files. Everything will be resin printed on a hobby MSLA printer, so practical tolerances and print-friendly design are important. What I’m looking for • A model of one standard hex enclosure sized for jumping spiders • Reversible snap-fit clips that let multiple hexes connect side-by-side • Vent holes (either in acrylic, or a small snap fit frame for mesh in the acrylic), and a clear observation window • A flush, outward-opening door that won’t disturb the spider or bump into neighboring enclosures Deliverables • STL files ready for resin printing • The editable CAD files you used (Fusion, SolidWorks, Blender, etc.) • A short note with any print or tolerance tips A few practical requirements • Clips should snap in and out by hand and hold up to regular use • The door should open fully and close flush • Parts should be suitable for typical hobby resin printers (around 50 µm layers) I am currently limited to a fixed budget of $150.00 USD, as I'm a new start up. If you enjoy mechanical modeling with a bit of creative flair, I’d love to hear how you’d approach this project! I'm also open to suggestions and ideas too, so feel free to let me know if you have some fun and out of the box ideas!
