I want a tabletop-sized replica of a specific historic roadside marker and its companion bench, created as personal Memorabilia. The final piece will sit on a desk or shelf, so it must capture the spirit and key features of the original while remaining compact and easy to handle. Scope • Level of detail: Moderate detail with some simplifications. I’m after accurate proportions, legible text, and recognisable ornamentation, but there is no need to reproduce every micro-chip or weather mark. • Material: any medium is acceptable as long as the surface treatment makes it look “So it looks like granite.” A convincing stone-like finish is essential. • Scale: small enough to fit comfortably on a tabletop; we can agree on exact dimensions once you see my reference photos. What you’ll do 1. Review my photos and rough measurements of the original marker and bench. 2. Propose the optimal scale and confirm the main dimensions. 3. Produce a 3D model or fabrication drawings that match the agreed level of detail. 4. Craft, print, mill, or otherwise build the physical replica, finishing it with a granite-style texture and colour. 5. Package it securely and ship it to me (I’ll cover shipping costs separately). Acceptance • Overall silhouette, inscription placement, and bench shape must be instantly recognisable against the photos I provide. • Surface finish must read as granite from normal viewing distance. • No sharp edges or loose flakes; the piece should be safe to handle and display indoors. If you have experience with resin casting, 3D printing plus hand-finishing, or small-scale CNC stone effects, you’ll be a perfect fit. Let me know how you would approach the build, which tools or materials you’d choose, and examples of similar memorabilia or miniature architectural work you’ve completed.
