I’m building a Ghost CMS site and I need it to handle rich media smoothly. The core requirement is the ability to embed YouTube or Vimeo videos as well as standard audio files directly in posts or pages, all without relying on external plugins that might break after an update. The media player must provide intuitive play, pause and volume controls, plus basic playlist support so visitors can queue several clips or tracks in a single post. I don’t need live-streaming or download buttons; a clean, responsive player that feels native to Ghost is ideal. Content-wise, the site will feature a mix of regular blog posts and dedicated service pages. I’d like templating set up for both, ensuring that each can showcase embedded media in a consistent, mobile-friendly layout. If custom handlebars helpers or a small amount of vanilla JavaScript are needed, that’s fine, as long as the solution is lightweight and easy for me to maintain going forward.
