I have a fresh Linux VPS that needs to be transformed into a production-ready hosting environment. I want everything an in-house sysadmin would put in place: an open-source control panel rather than cPanel or Plesk, automated off-server backups, rock-solid security hardening, and sensible monitoring so I can sleep at night. The box must comfortably run multiple projects—e-commerce stores built with modern PHP stacks, a couple of custom web applications (some use Node.js, others classic LAMP), plus a handful of static marketing sites. Think Nginx or Apache with PHP-FPM, MariaDB/PostgreSQL, Node where needed, Let’s Encrypt SSL, a properly configured firewall, fail2ban, malware/AV scans, and email relay basics. I also need routine backups copied to remote storage and a one-click restore path documented.
